In Dublin’s fair city

Kri8it has just returned to Cape Town after spending some time in Ireland, where we set up our new studio, based in Dublin 18, and soaked up the local culture.

We’re thrilled to be part of Ireland’s thriving digital industry. Many of the global technology giants have a foothold here, including Facebook, Google, Cisco, Intel and Microsoft – creating a buzzing hub of talent and expertise.

During our time in Dublin, we explored several new business opportunities. We also designed a website for our first Irish client: The Bathroom Boutique. Their site is now live if you’d like to explore it and admire their beautiful bathroom products: http://www.thebathroomboutique.ie/

In between, we took time off work to explore the cobblestone streets, do the touristy stuff and appreciate the local dry stout.

Some fun facts:

  1. We walked over 70km in nine days.
  2. This made us feel less guilty about enjoying a staple diet of Guinness, Orchard’s and popcorn.
  3. We visited: the creative hub of Temple Bar, the beautiful gardens of St Stephens Green, the historic Dublin Castle and Trinity College, the famous “Bewleys” coffee shop, the Grafton Street shopping district and the quaint coastal suburb of Dún Laoghaire.

If you enjoy armchair travel, we’ve put together a highlights video:
