Cell C Day of Races powered by Reebok

Kri8it collaborated with sports marketing agency Stillwater Sports to build the brand platforms for South Africa’s most social 5km road run. The Cell C Day of Races powered by Reebok is run in waves so that everyone fits in and runs at their own pace. Kri8it generated a theme for the run, Find Your Fit, which is all about celebrating fitness, fun, friends and fitting in; and named the five waves – Pretty Fast (women’s only), Pace Makers (for the 50+s), Sole Mates (for those running in pairs), Young, Fast & Free (for under 18s) and Anything Goes (open to everyone). We also designed a logo for this entirely new brand, which echoes the fresh feel of the event while staying true to the sponsors’ corporate identity. This logo fed through into the look and feel of the event website, which we also developed. Our clean, modern one-page site offers all the important information in an easy to digest and navigate format with strong calls to action and clear sections for each wave. The site also includes a custom Instagram feed that pulls from multiple hashtags and really brings the social sharing aspect of the race through – participants are encouraged to run with their smartphones and share the experience with their social communities, with cool prizes up for grabs.

Kri8it is also responsible for running social media strategy on various platforms for the event and we are steadily growing the fan and follower base leading up to the events.
